When a debate moderator can’t (or won’t) fact check even the most egregious of statements, that job becomes the responsibility of the other candidate. And if there’s one thing we know about President Trump, it’s that he’s a fighter.
Someone should really hand out parody awards for last night’s debate:
🏆 Most Absurd Statement — Joe Biden, for claiming President Trump was handed a great economy and “blew it.” (Trump inherited an average economy and made it roar. And despite the setbacks from COVID, we’re already starting to see signs of another economic comeback.)
🏆 Most Telling Moment — Joe Biden, for repeatedly refusing to say whether he’d attempt to pack the Supreme Court by increasing the size of the bench and then filling those new seats with liberal activist justices.
🏆 Most Misleading Comment — Joe Biden, for claiming President Trump has done nothing to help small businesses and workers during the COVID pandemic. (There’s been the CARES Act, Paycheck Protection Program, SBA loan forgiveness, etc.)
🏆 Most Uninformed Remark — Joe Biden, for claiming Antifa “is an idea, not an organization.” (Ideas don’t riot and hurt people. There are numerous Antifa groups throughout the nation.)
🏆 Most Awkward Moment — Joe Biden, for being unable to name a single law enforcement organization that supports his candidacy.
🏆 Most Ironic Comment — Joe Biden, for twice saying President Trump should “come out of his bunker.” (While Trump has been holding rallies and events around the nation, Biden has mostly run the last 6 months of his campaign from a TV studio in his home.)
🏆 Biggest Contradiction — Joe Biden, for saying he doesn’t support the Green New Deal, when in fact Biden’s own endorsement of that $100 trillion socialist program is right there on his own website.
Some are predicting Biden will refuse to participate in the next two debates. It’ll be interesting to see whether that happens or not.
